Robert Adair, b. Feb 24 1843 d. Oct 28 1919

ADAIR - Died, at his home in Scott township, Friday, October 21, 1910, at 4:00 o'clock a.m. of heart trouble, of 24 hours duration. Robert Adair, aged 76 years, 1 month and 8 days. The deceased was born in Ohio, Sept 13, 1834, and has been a resident of the state and the county for many years. He was a prominent farmer of Scott township and has hosts of friends. He leaves a wife, Jane Adair, 2 sons and 5 daughters. They are, Fred Adair, of Oskaloosa; Chas Adair, of Albia; Mrs. Mary Sandiland of Bussey; Mrs. Mamie Barnes of Olivet; Mrs. Jennie Newman of Semore, Missouri; Mrs. Clara Bargett of Indianola; Miss Noda Adair, who resided at home. The funeral took place Sunday at 2:00 o'clock from the Union Chapel. The body was laid to rest in Rochester cemetery.
